Memories
Brian & Jeff, I met your Mom 24 years ago when I went to work at Pleasant Valley. Our friendship began with just quick hello's in passing, but then we'd chit chat longer. She was always good for a laugh. She was concerned about retirement. I told her to go for it! I knew her knee's couldn't take much more. She retired & we had a party for her at Green Acres. I kept teasing her that I was going to invite the administrator. She informed me if I did, she's kick my...!We always kept in touch. She had her knee replacement & still kept pushing. I was devastated when she called to let me know that she had cancer. I told her, you've got this Tucker! She did. Remission. Then the second diagnosis. Same thing, you've got this. She did. Remission. Then I didn't hear from her. I ran into her at the doctors office. With many tears, I was told it was back again.I said, FIGHT! She said, I don't think I can....anymore. I sent cards constantly, Holidays,Thinking Of You,Friendship & Support. She called me from the hospital in late October. She sounded wonderful, but the I get calls telling me it won't be long. I was in disbelief. I watched my dear friend slipping away with each visit to the hospital. Lynda touched my life in so many ways. Your Mom loved you guys & was so proud of both of you. I miss her something awful, but I will always keep her spirit alive. I've started my coin jar to give away next Christmas in her memory. She's our angel now. All my love, Gwen
