Obituary for Emilio Joseph "Joe" Natale

Emilio “Joe” Natale, 73, formerly of Fort Edward, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Westmount Health Facility with his family by his side.

Born in Glens Falls on March 5, 1941, he was the son of the late Angelo and Antonetta (Corsini) Natale, who immigrated to the United State.

He attended Catholic School in Hudson Falls.

On April 24, 1965 he married Charyl Phillips at St. Mary’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Joe worked for a number of years at the Glens Falls Hospital retiring in 1994. He also worked for the Fort Hudson Nursing home, where he was one of its first employees when it opened in 1969.

He was a wonderful chef and fantastic father and grandfather to Allison and Abigail, who were the light of his life, and countless others who he showed such compassion too. Joe never let his lack of schooling stand in his was. He always gave 110%. Joe was outgoing and warm man and lived each day he could to its fullest. He had a love for old cars nearly as much as his niece and nephews, who called him Uncle Bing. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joe always looked forward to the Home Town Thanksgiving where he enjoyed carving all the turkeys.

Besides his parents, Joe is predeceased by sister, Regina Natale, two brothers, Angelo and Venzensio Natale.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 49 years, Charyl Natale, daughter, Diantha Comstock and husband David Jr. of Queensbury, two granddaughters, Allison and Abigail Comstock, one brother, Benito Natale of Pembroke, MA, three special nephews, Roy and Hugh Phillips and Jason LaPoint, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Per Joe’s request, there will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday July 19, 2014 at the New Hope Community Church, 454 Corinth Road, Queensbury, NY 12804 with Rev. Chris Collins, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
