Obituary for Terry Stanley Waite Sr.

Terry Stanley Waite Sr., 61, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 5, 1957, in Battle Creek, Michigan, he was the son of the late Phil and Carol (Greenfield) Waite.
Terry graduated from Greenwich High School in 1975. He was the President for the Greenwich FFA.
On July 15, 1978, Terry married the love of his life and best friend, Joyce Kirk.
He worked for Agway Feed, Greenwich Tire and for 33 years he worked for Capital Tractor in Greenwich. Terry was a trustee of Lakeville Baptist Church and a member of the Greenwich American Legion.
Terry loved farming, beef, pig and chicken BBQ, hunting, bowling and especially supporting fellow community members.
In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his sister, Cynthia Eaton; his grandparents, Stanley and Luella Waite.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Joyce; his children, Terry Waite Jr. (Jackie) and Jessica Douglas (Stephen); “Loving Poppy” to his grandchildren, Georgiana, Trinity and Sara Douglas, Lucas, Alexis and Conner Waite; his siblings, JoAnn Perkins (Gregory) and Brenda Dooley; brother-in-law, Tom Eaton; brother by choice but not blood, Robert Wilcox (Glenda); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 10am to 12pm on Monday, December 10, 2018, at Lakeville Baptist Church, Route 49, Cossayuna.
Funeral Services will be conducted following the calling hours at the Lakeville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sandra Spaulding, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeville Cemetery, Cossauyna.
Following the burial a reception will be held at the VFW, 63 Abeel Ave, Greenwich, NY 12834.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s memory can be made to The Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
