Obituary for Elsie Madeline Quinn (Wait)

HUDSON FALLS -

Elsie Madeline Quinn, of Burgoyne Avenue, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Fort Miller on September 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Ada Louise (Whaley) Wait.

Our Mom, Gram & Nana as she was known, was the strength of our whole family. She was the shoulder we all leaned on, the rock that gave us strength when we needed it and most importantly the heart that gave us unconditional love no matter what. She lived every day of her life to be with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In return they were her shoulder, her rock and her heart and were with her until she passed into God's arms. We will miss her always but will feel her heart & soul with us forever. We love you Mom, Gram & Nana! She was our understanding Gram. Elsie enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, all animals, playing the piano, traveling, especially her trips to the ocean and to Alaska and picnics & cookouts at the lake.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, James Raymond Quinn as well as her brothers and sisters, Percy Wait, Dorothy Bruce, Leona Murray, Lena Beldon, Alice Bruce, Sidney Wait, Grace Wait, Frank Wait, Henry Wait, Arthur Wait, and Annebelle Wait.
