Obituary for Wiliam H. Dixon

William H. Dixon, 81, of Sheridan Street, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on March 2, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of the late William and Agnes (Cobb) Dixon.
Bill graduated from Martinsville high school where he played basketball. He later attended Indiana University. After attending IU, Bill enlisted in the US Army veteran serving from 1956 to 1962 in Alaska. Bill was a member of the American Legion a member of the Free and Accepted Masons. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother Harold.
On March 10, 1962, Bill married Barbara J. McDougall at Argyle Presbyterian Church in Argyle, NY. Left to cherish his memory besides his wife of 56 years include his son, Kevin (Elvie) Dixon of San Mateo, CA and daughter, Jennifer (Wes) Hamilton of Glens Falls, NY. Bill is survived by five grandchildren: Finnegan Dixon, Justin (Ashley) King, Brittany King, Jacob Loding and Noelle Norton.
At Bill’s request there will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be conducted in the spring at a time to be announced.
