Obituary for Shannon I. Brown

Fort Edward

Shannon Brown, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born on May 8, 1977, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Robert Jenks and Colleen Brown.

Shannon graduated from Fort Edward High School.

On Jan. 11, 2004, Shannon married Matt Dixon by the Rev. Bruce Hersey. They were married for 2 years until his unexpected passing in 2006.

Shannon worked for CR Bard in Queensbury for 15 years as medical assembler. She enjoyed listening to Godsmack, spending time at the Hudson Falls American Legion, gathering at her Aunt Tina’s every Thursday for dinner and a game or two of Skip-Bo with her Grandmother Jenks, Aunt Tina, Shane, Matt, and Cydni. She liked hanging out anytime she could with her life long best friend Amy Dubay. She enjoyed watching her daughter, Amy, compete in Volleyball matches and Softball games, and go out to eat with her son Nic,
but she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with her friends.

In addition to her husband, Shannon was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Edward Brown; her paternal grandfather, Lawrence Jenks; her step-paternal grandmother, Marion Eggleston; and her uncle, Charles Brown.

Left to cherish her memory include her father Robert Jenks; her mother, Colleen Eggleston and her husband, Michael; her step-mother, Dianne Smilie; her children Amy and Nichalos Dixon; her siblings, Shane, Benjamin and Sarah Jenks, Shawn Eggleston and his wife, Melanie, Kenneth Eggleston and his wife, Amy; her maternal grandmother, Irene Brown; her paternal grandmother, Norma Jenks; her grandfather, Joseph St. John; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 2 to 4pm on Monday, November 26, 2018, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A Funeral Service will be conducted following the calling hours at 4pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be conducted at 10 am on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
