Obituary for Rose M. Zupan (Trackeno)

Rose M. Zupan (Trackeno)
FORT EDWARD/ARGYLE
Rose T. Zupan, 93, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Pleasant Valley Health Center, Argyle, NY.

Born in Fort Edward on September 26, 1916, she was the daughter of Filomena (Pagano) and Luigi Trackeno.

A lifetime resident of Fort Edward she graduated from Fort Edward High School. On September 2, 1950 she married Frank J. Zupan of Avon (Indianapolis), Indiana at St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward.

Rose worked at General Electric for over 43 years beginning her career as a secretary in Schenectady , New York and transferring to Hudson Falls as a secretary in the accounting department.

Rose was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward. Rose was an avid Red Wing Hockey fan attending every game possible. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and all types of needle work. She was physically active for most of her life enjoying cross-country skiing and golfing. Upon her retirement she traveled extensively with her cousin Josephine and they had very exciting times. She traveled to Italy and Yugoslavia with her sister-in-law Ernestine. When she was home she truly enjoyed working in her "Rose" garden. Her favorite retirement activity was going shopping and lunch with the "Golden Girls" - retired co-workers of General Electric. The center of her world were her family especially her grandchildren Nikki and Eric and her son Frank.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Frank , her sisters: Francis E. Wyatt and her husband Russell; Molly Benezra and her husband Joseph; Sadie A. Dean and her husband Anthony; Mary Trackeno, her sister-in-law Ernestine Trauner, her nieces: Elizabeth Suprenant and her husband Mitchell; Jeannette Dean; Margaret Rose Wyatt- Winters and her great niece Nancy A. Wyatt as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors besides her son Francis J. Zupan of Dover, DE and her grandchildren Nikki Zupan of Chandler, AZ and Eric Zupan of Bear, DE include her niece Dolores P. Schiavoni and her husband Nicholas of Glens Falls, her nephews David L. Wyatt of Florida; Richard C. Wyatt and his wife Wendy of Iowa; Michael Suprenant and his wife Cathy and Mitchell C. Suprenant and his wife Patty all of Fort Edward and many other nieces and nephews from both the Trackeno and Cardinale families. She is also survived by her cousins, Richard L. Harris, Jr. and his wife Jane of California and Robert S. Harris of Lake Champlain. She is also survived by Josephine Harris, although a cousin, Josephine was special to Rose, more like a daughter and she took excellent care of Rose over the years.

Rose lived life to the fullest and touched the heart and souls of all those that crossed her path.
