Thelma Grace Flewelling, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Granville Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
Born on May 2, 1933, in New Haven, OH, she was the daughter of the late Victor VanNaular and Audrey Perkins.
On October 8, 1960, Thelma married Stanley Flewelling in Norwalk, OH, shortly after he enlisted into the United States Air Force. They spent 58 years together until his passing earlier this year in April.
She enjoyed sewing, BBQ, fishing, and loved raising animals.
In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was predeceased by her infant daughter, Lisa Flewelling; her sons, Robert Ogburn and David Ogburn; her granddaughters, Annie Ogburn and Jennifer Ogburn; and her sister, Ruby Flusca; and her brother, Stanley Perkins.
Left to cherish her memory includes her children, Stanley (Tammy) Flewelling Jr., Steven Flewelling and his companion, Carol, Joe Flewelling and his companion, Michelle, Doug Flewelling and his companion, Tammy, Ron Ogburn, Sandra (Kevin) Ogburn and Kathy (Paul) Flanders; her daughter-in-law, Becky Ogburn; her sisters, Shirley Wolfe McCook and Vivian Kinney; her brothers, Paul Witch, Mitchell Davis and Ned Wolfe Jr.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Thelma’s request there will be no calling hours.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
