Condolence: Myron, and his father, Myron, gave me a part time job when I was a young married father, way back in the late '50s, early '60s, digging up a flower bed, planting bought mums (I think the only flowers they bought), planting them in said flower bed, taking "cuttings" when the mums were tall enough, placing the cuttings in the greenhouse "beds" with sprinkling water, then, when big enough, taking "cuttings" from those, and on and on with the same mums therefore having flowers for Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years that were sold from his sister/brother-in-law Watkins Florist across from Juckett Park. ...And how can I forget the "steamed sterilized soil" to place small cuttings in peat pots. ... Carrying the huge cement urns from the greenhouse barn to Juckett Park to plant flowers for Memorial Day; cutting the lawn at the Methodist Church each Wednesday evening; driving with Myron to Greenwich and Cambridge to plant shrubs, etc. and put down peat moss. ... Years later when I was visiting Hudson Falls, there was a concert in Juckett Park, and Myron was standing across Main Street listening/watching. He recognized me and we had a nice, too short visit. He, and his father, Myron, taught a beautiful work ethic. I think of them whenever I plant shrubs, etc. around my home. God welcome Myron home, good and faithful servant.
