Condolence: I always try to take some time to reflect and remember to think about folks that have helped shape who I am. I was thinking about Paul this morning and wondering how he is. After doing some research I came across his obituary. I can’t begin to express how much I appreciated Paul when I was going to AHS. Many of kids in AHS had too many people give up on them. Paul genuinely cared about the students and made sure we all knew that he did! I’m forever grateful for his support and will always think of him with a smile on my face.

Condolence: Dear Sheehan family, Please accept my condolences in the death of Paul. Although I never had the privilege of playing for him, he always believed in me and encouraged and inspired me, and for that I am forever grateful. He was a great coach.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to the Sheehan family and to all who were touched by this wonderful man. He was a teacher, coach, mentor and friend to so many. He was a confident bordering on brash competitor in everything he did. As a basketball coach at QHS, he continuously took on all comers in HORSE or free throws. He could trash talk with the best of them and back it up to the frustration of his players. I learned a lot from that man and not just basketball related. Saw him in town awhile back for the first time in many years. The warm handshake and hug was very special. That infectious, welcoming smile evident to all. He immediately recalled several QHS basketball events circa 1970-71 involving me that I hadn't thought about for many, many years. He was a special man that will be sorely missed. Condolence: Mrs. Sheehan, Mark, Kevin, Pete, and Kathy: I am so sorry for your loss. Coach/Mr. Sheehan taught me a lot about basketball starting way back in elementary school when he headed up “Saturday Morning Basketball” at Queensbury. I also enjoyed playing for him on the 7th and 8th grade Queensbury basketball teams. I appreciated his interest in running and I’m grateful for the support he gave to me and everyone else on the Queensbury cross country teams (including the many pre-race pizza parties hosted by the Sheehan household). Condolence: Dear Sheehan Family: Very saddened to hear of your loss. I worked with Paul during his days with BOCES Alternative and Adult Education. We had lots of ideas that he was kind enough to consider. My husband was also fortunate to have had Paul as a high school teacher and baseball coach. Paul worked hard to convince my husband that being part of both aspects of school were related. We were all very blessed to have worked with and for such a kind, fair, and honest person. Honored to have known him.

Condolence: To the Sheehan family: It was with much sadness that I read that Paul has died. It was my pleasure to work with Paul while he was the Program Administrator of Adult Education at BOCES. The program was grant funded and he could never really understand why we had to seemingly always beg for money to run. He felt such a responsibility to all of us. It was also during this time that Paul's mother was residing at Fort Hudson. He was eating dinner with her on a weekly basis and this produced an abundance of stories of his early life and his profound love of Fort Edward and family. Paul was one of the most decent, caring and fun loving people I know. Please accept my sincere condolence.

Paul was such a friendly and kind guy who always brought a smile to me and my family. from his "What's going on " introduction to the sly smile, and sarcastic comments you could always count on something to get you going. Condolence: Sheehan Family, I was deeply sadden to hear this news of a great man that I always admired while being around and playing basketball and competing in road races with his sons Mark and Kevin. I have fond memories of being at various sporting events at Queensbury HS and talking sports with Mr. Sheehan and just seeing how proud he was as a family man seeing his children compete and compete at such a high level. Biking over to the Dennett and Sheehan households on Sylvan Ave I knew there was plenty of sporting activities to play especially a game of basketball. My family will have some special prayers for all the Sheehan family in these difficult days ahead. One thing I know for sure is that Paul is playing some basketball healthy and free of illness in heaven and earning back all those point scoring records from my two Uncles Dan D'Angelico and John Quattrocchi. I had the pleasure of knowing him from being a Fort Edward girl(my Dad Cooch Mullen spoke very highly of him) and also as my administrator at WSWHE BOCES. Paul was the kindest and greatest man. I used to love to run into him after he retired. He always was so glad to see you and catch up. He always had a great smile and a kind word. Condolence: The beautifully written obituary really says it all. Paul Sheehan was a multi-faceted man, a high achiever, a kind soul who cared deeply about his students, friends, family, career. He helped put Fort Edward and its high school on the map with the 1968 Northern Conference Championship claimed by his devoted basketball team! To think he led a Class D school to victory is truly amazing. He helped make lasting memories and rekindled for many of us an affinity for our small town.

Condolence: We were so saddened by the news of my friend Paul's passing on Saturday morning. Paul was a wonderful guy and a joy to play golf with and be around. He was always in a good mood and was unfailingly pleasant even when he was being ribbed mercilessly by his conservative golf mates. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Peggy and the family. Condolence: Working with Paul at Kubricky and DA Collins was a true pleasure. He was the sweetest man and kind to all. Heard many stores of Bill Donnelly and Paul’s adventures that always had all of us in stitches. My friend and once co worker Suzanne and I were always pranking Paul and he was such a great sport. I will miss the pizza at his home with Peggy, lunches with Suzanne, Paul and I and most of all miss his humor. RIP my friend, and you and Bill hit the golf ball long and straight.
