John Wood, 63, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital with his family by his side.

Born in Bethesda, Maryland on March 3, 1954 he was the son of the late Walter and Shirley (Morrill) Wood.

John graduated from Glens Falls High School Class of 1972.

On June 4, 1977 John married the love of his life Kim Woodard at the Harrisena Community Church.

John retired from SCA Tissue after 20 years of service.

He enjoyed trips to Maine, camping, the New York Yankees, grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Lou Wood and Charlene Vaughn; brother, Dean Wood.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 40 years, Kim Wood; his children, Michael (Rebecca) Wood, Courtney (Jamie) Perkins, Ashleigh Wood (Matthew Brown), and Jonathan Wood (Beth Manney); grandchildren, Kyra Shippee, Dillon Perkins, Zachary Perkins, Addison Perkins, Gabriel Wood, Emilie Wood, Jacob Wood, Gavin Finch, Avalynn Wood and eagerly anticipating a grandson in April;brother, Charles Wood; sister, Eileen West; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may call from 4p.m. to 6p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 123 Main St. Argyle, NY 12809.

A Funeral Service will be held following the calling hours at 6p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen McLean officiating.

Burial will be in the spring at the convenience of the family.
