Condolence: My prayers have gone out to Al’s family. I am sure you love him greatly. We both worked in the GE apprentice program in the early sixties. Al, Jim Chesney, Fran Ryder, Jack Pensic, i and one other apprentice shared a house in Alplause NY. All of us knew each other as brothers during that time. We led an exciting and sometimes dangerous life. Some of the neighbors loved us all, others - not so much. Al was full of fun, humor and adventure. I remember his intense work ethic, his openness and boldness. Driving him to his home in Fort Edward on some fridays after work was a time of laughter and telling stories. Al was 3 weeks older than i.

Condolence: Sad to hear of Al's passing - my condolences to the family. Al and I served in the Army together in England from 1980 to 1984. We lived on the same street a few houses down from each other in Harrogate, England. The odd thing is that I am from Granville and he was from Ft. Edward and we met in the Army at a very small post in the middle of Yorkshire. Al was a genuine great guy who loved his sports and was an outstanding darts shooter. He was kind enough to attend my father's funeral in 2009 in Granville and we had a short while to catch up. He will be missed.

I only met Allan once when I was very little with my sister Barbara, she was married to his brother Bruce, he was really nice to me. I pray they are all together again and that we will see them one day. I ask the Lord to give yall comfort and peace and that He surrounds yall with His loving arms and holds you tight. God bless yall.

Condolence: I am very sorry to hear of Al’s passing. I really enjoyed playing golf with him, Eddie Quattrocchi, and Dave Catone during the Fort Edward reunion. He was indeed a great athlete. I remember him holding the 100 yard dash record. He will be missed. God bless you my friend — Howie
