Obituary for Jeffery "Bodeen" Morehouse

Jeffery “Bodeen” Morehouse, 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

Born on February 25, 1952 in Chestertown, NY he was the son of the late Claude and Beaulah (Moore) Morehouse.

On January 14, 1995, Jeff married Gail Brown in Hudson Falls. Jeff retired from Meads Nursery in Queensbury after 20 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the South Queensbury Fire Company.

Jeff enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, four wheeling, gardening and camping. He was a man who loved tinkering in the garage fixing things, but he especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his grandson, Noah Gould; his brothers, Arnold “Arnie”, Leslie “Peanut”, Claude and Gary Morehouse; his infant brother; his sisters, Kathleen Morehouse and Kelley Golden; his brothers-in-law, Ollie, Tony, Jeff and Kevin Brown.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Gail of 22 years; his children, Peggy Brewster (Raymond), Christeen Morehouse (Mark), Jennifer Austin (Eddie), Denice McGowan (Michael); his stepchildren, Jerry Bennett (Darcy), Amy Tireli (Beau); his grandchildren, Abilene, Destiny, Morgan, Daelynn, Ronni, Lily, Michael Jr., Sydney, Logan and Kiana; his brothers, Larry Morehouse of Illion, NY, Terry "Shotgun" Morehouse of Queensbury, Gilbert Morehouse of Hudson Falls, and Timothy Morehouse of Glens Falls; and his sisters: Betty Stevens of Glens Falls, Claudia Elms of Randolph, VT.; Bonnie Bennett (Royal) of Warrensburg, Deborah Anthony (Gerald), of Mohawk; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Candy Morehouse, Catherine Morehouse, Arlene Brown, Rose Brown, Dick and Gail Brown, Bonnie Fish and Richard Healey; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be conducted following calling hours at 6pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
