David L. “Dave” Shapiro, 74, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017, after a brave struggle with nonsmoker’s lung cancer.

A native of the Syracuse area, Dave was employed by Niagara Mohawk for 29 years.

Dave was predeceased by his parents. Dr. Joseph and Helen (Lewis) Shapiro.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Louise (McGeoch) Shapiro and his sister, Kate Shapiro.

At Dave’s request there will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held at 1p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle, NY followed by a reception at the Argyle United Methodist Church 11 Sheridan St, Argyle, NY 12809.

Memorial donations in Dave’s memory can be made to the Argyle EMS 15 Sheridan St. Argyle, NY 12809.
