Queensbury

Eldoris M. Schouten, 83, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at Warren Center in Queensbury.

Born December 5, 1933 in Elmo, Minnesota she was the daughter of the late Alois and Irene (Severson) Hoth.

She attended high school in Elmo, Minnesota.

On January 1, 1953 Eldoris married William H. Schouten in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Eldoris enjoyed playing cards, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, watching TV, soap operas, romance magazines, puzzle books, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Eldoris was predeceased by her husband, William H. Schouten; daughter, Linda Schmit; son, William H. Schouten Jr.; sisters, Lorene Rose, and Barbara Woosley; son-in-law, James Schmit.

Left to cherish her memory include her son, Tom Schouten of Lake Luzerne; her daughters, Sharon Tennant of South Glens Falls, and Mariann Batchelder and her husband Jon of Ballston Spa; brothers, Robert Hoth of Montana, Allen Hoth of Alaska; sister-in-law Jean Schouten; 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s.

At Eldoris’s request there will be no services or calling hours.

The family would like to thank the Warren Center for their care and compassion.
