Obituary for Timothy E. Sioui

Timothy E. Sioui
Fort Edward

It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my sweet loving husband, Timothy Edward Sioui, after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. On August 4th, with his loving family by his side, Tim went on to be with the lord after his most recent hospital stay at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
I will greatly miss our time together. I will remember all the special times that Tim has given me. We enjoyed each other’s company and did not need a lot of extras in life; all we needed was each other and our little buddy, Jack. He was his comfort shoulder buddy who always made Tim feel better no matter how dark the day. Their strong bond is something that Jack will never forget.
I am forever grateful for every minute that I was blessed to spend with the most honest, loyal, giving man, I will ever know. Thank you, Tim, I’ll love you forever.

Tim, son of Joseph E and Karen B. (Grant) Sioui, was born on December 28, 1964 in Glens Falls, NY. Tim Graduated from Argyle Central School in 1983. He attended Alfred College where he received his Associate of Science Degree in auto engineering.

In his earlier years, Tim attended Durkeetown Baptist Church with his family. Growing up, Tim enjoyed camping with his Mom, Dad, and Sister. They traveled to many parts of the country and Canada. One of their favorite places to go was Cedar Top Camp Grounds in Paradox Lake. He was an avid hunter and loved going with his Dad. Above all, Tim was a great snowmobiler and asphalt racer with record times that no one yet has beat. These were great times spent with his buddies that will be greatly missed. Tim’s love of snowmobile racing on asphalt and helping his friends with hill climbs in the winter launched him into a career of snowmobile performance. He started his own business, T.E.S. Racing in “Durkeetown”, Fort Edward. For the past 10 years his business brought more than just customers, it brought him lifelong friends that would say that Tim could make the fastest sled in town.

One thing that I can attest to was his love for me. We were married for twelve wonderful and happy years. Even during Tim’s hardest times his love for me never once faltered. During our many drives to and from Boston, with his loving sister Vicki, Tim always knew the right things to say to put a smile on my face.
Tim is predeceased by is beloved grandparents John and Grace Grant. In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his loving wife, Antoinette (Gonyea) Sioui; his sister Vicki (Sioui) Streeter and her husband Tim and their children Kyle and Kristopher of Moreau.

Friends may call from 4-7pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. To view Tim’s Book of Memories, please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com

A funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, 48 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809 with Rev. Byran Fitzgerald, officiating. A reception will follow at his sisters house.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations can be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (P.O Box 849168 Boston, MA 02284 or www.dana-farber.org/gift) or to Brigham and Women’s Hospital – Development Office (116 Huntington Ave 3rd Floor Boston, MA 02116 or giving.brighamandwomens.org/donate).
