I was so very sad to hear about Joan's passing, she was a wonderful lady, always kind and generous. She welcomed me with open arms as an exchange student and made sure I always felt at home. I will forever have many sweet and unforgettable memories of my “American mom”.

Condolence: Dear Chuck and Family: We will forever remember Joan as a close and valued friend. Her courage and joyful countenance will be always an inspiration to us. We sang together in the Christ Church choir for 12 years and admired her clear and accurate alto voice sung with passion and a wonderful feeling for the music and its meaning. Since leaving, we have missed that quality and the opportunity to be with her every week. She was one of those rare individuals who never stop giving and make everyone around them feel better about themselves.

So sorry to hear of your moms passing. I was not able to make the calling hours but just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and your family. You are in our prayers throughout this and your travels back home. Two more years will be reunion time hopefully we can all get together then.

Condolence: I've known Joan for just a few years through Adirondack Voices. It was amazing to me to see her singing in the back row with her oxygen tank in tow! She and I talked when Charles was a custodian at Argyle Central School, my alma mater.

I wish to express my condolences on the passing of Joan. Even though I only knew her from the few visits, I had an appreciation for what a wonderful women she was. I am sure she will be missed by all of you, espically the Grandsons.
I hope her family continues to enjoy the Durkee estate as much as she did.

Condolence: I worked with Mrs.Inman at PVI she was my Charge Nurse. When I worked with her I always knew that it would be a good shift. She was a very caring and lovely person. She truly was A Model Nurse in the way she gave her residents respect and care, the way she treated her staff, and the way she always came to work with her white uniform dress ,cap and white stocking's. My deepest sympathy to her Husband, daughter's and grandchildren. May your memories bring you comfort.
