Lorraine V. Knapp, 98, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2016 at the Pines in Glens Falls.
Born in Glens Falls on December 19, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (O’Connor) Harris.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy Class of 1935.
Lorraine was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in South Glens Falls and a member of the Rosary Altar Society.
Lorraine enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine is predeceased by her husbands, Arthur LaVoy, Paul Bassler and Jack Knapp; sister, Evelyn Quinn; brothers, Benjamin Harris, William Harris; grandson, Daniel P. Collins.
Left to cherish her memory include her sons, Alan A. LaVoy and his wife Jeanne of Phoenix, Arizona, Gary R. LaVoy and his wife Anne of Bolton Landing; daughter, Cheryl A. Collins and her husband Patrick of South Glens Falls; grandchildren, Christopher LaVoy and his wife Amy of Phoenix, Arizona, Sharon LaVoy of Silver Springs, MD, Kyle LaVoy and his wife Ashley of Bolton Landing and Ryan Collins and his significant other Kathryn of Corinth; great-grandsons; Holden LaVoy, Cooper LaVoy, Tucker Ely and Jackson Collins; great-granddaughter, Kiley Trombley; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 10-11a.m. on Friday February 26 2016 at St. Michael’s Church 80 Saratoga Ave. South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday February 26, 2016 at the church with Rev. Guy A. Childs officiating.
Burial will be in the spring at St. Mary’s cemetery in Hudson Falls.
